What We’re Learning This Week:
Reading: “Pig in a Wig” (Fiction Text) We will work on
retelling through sequencing events in a fiction text. We
will also work on telling what happened in the beginning, middle, and end of a
story.
I have
started guided reading. This is where I have the opportunity to work with
your child at his/her reading level. Your child is beginning to come
home with his/her guided reading book to practice in their “book in a bag.” Please
remember to have your child read the book-in-a-bag. It is important to
always return “the book in a bag” the next day. Thank you!!
Writing: We will be continuing writing workshop for
our personal narrative writing unit. Students will continue to work on writing
about personal “small moments”. The students will write a story across pages
with an introduction, details, and ending. We will also be continuing to
